We each individually represent a different perspective of the world. No person is made the same as the other and that is for good reason. Imagine a world where everyone is identical. Everyone looks the same, has the same interests. Dresses the same, listens to the same music. A world where everyone thinks the same, has the same perspective and has the same views. Not only would this world be incredibly dull, but it’d be unrealistic.
“You” were designed to be just that.. “you”. We all have flaws and we all have things that we’d like to change about ourselves, and that’s fine. Over the course of time we evolve, that’s inevitable. However, many people ignore the core of who they are in a “shameful” way, allowing themselves to live in an apologetic manner. This meaning, they live in a manner where they constantly question the moves that they make in life, wondering if those around them will approve or not.
No person wants to be the odd one out. Wanting to fit in is human nature. However, don’t lose sight of who YOU are. Allow yourself to enjoy YOUR interests. Do things that make YOU happy, and live your life in a manner that makes YOUR soul happy. Live your life for YOU, regardless of how others may feel about it. Those who matter, don’t mind. Those who mind, don’t matter.
In reality, when you think about it, every person is the odd one out. Our paths in life are completely different, therefore every single person sticks out in comparison to the rest. We’re all unique. Our differences are what make this life worth living. It’s what makes meeting new people such an amazing experience, because you’re encountering a soul unlike any other you’ve ever encountered, each and every single time. Allow your true self to flourish, because when you do you’re blessing the world with a new perspective of life.
You may have some unpopular tastes in life, whether it be music, sense of style, stances on certain topics, overall views on life, etc. People may not always see things the way you do. You may have some flaws that make you insecure, but every single person does. You may have a trait or characteristic that makes you noticeably different from those around you, but take pride in that. As I said earlier, if we all were the same it’d be a dull world. God doesn’t make any mistakes, so believe in who you are and who you were designed to be. It will be one of the best choices you’ve ever made, that’s a promise.
“I find the best way to love someone is not to change them, but instead, help them reveal the greatest version of themselves.”
